- Original VW Allergen Filter consists of 3 layers:
(1) Particle filter catches pollen, diesel soot, and fine dust
(2) Premium activated carbon binds unpleasant odors and harmful gases
(3) Allergen layer surrounds and deactivates allergens - It is recommended for allergy sufferers to replace the pollen filter annually: If the filter is clogged, the air quality in the car worsens due to dust, soot, and microorganisms - this can lead to fatigue symptoms and concentration deficits
- If dirt particles enter the air conditioning system due to a "full" filter, it can impair its function and lead to odor disturbances
- Note: Allergen filter layer may be yellow, burgundy, or colorless without differences in quality depending on the version
