Original VW Allergen Filter consists of 3 layers:
(1) Particle filter catches pollen, diesel soot, and fine dust
(2) Premium activated carbon binds unpleasant odors and harmful gases
(3) Allergen layer surrounds and deactivates allergens
It is recommended for allergy sufferers to replace the pollen filter annually: If the filter is clogged, the air quality in the car worsens due to dust, soot, and microorganisms - this can lead to fatigue symptoms and concentration deficits
If dirt particles enter the air conditioning system due to a "full" filter, it can impair its function and lead to odor disturbances
Note: Allergen filter layer may be yellow, burgundy, or colorless without differences in quality depending on the version
